This is the yarn package for the beautiful Jaycee cardigan by Isabell Kraemer – a carefully adjusted amount of yarn for the size you choose to knit. The cardigan is knitted top down without the need for seams, giving a beautiful, cohesive look and minimal assembly.

The work starts with a number of reverse rows back and forth to create height in the neck, so that the cardigan has a good fit. Then the yoke is shaped from the top down until the work can be divided into body and sleeves. A few more reverse rows are knitted to finish the yoke, after which the stitches for the sleeves are placed on a stitch holder or yarn scrap. The body is knitted down to the bottom rib edge, which completes the length and finish of the cardigan. Finally, the sleeves are finished, which are knitted in the round from the shoulder down to the cuffs. The button edging, buttonhole band and neckline are knitted last to complete the finished design.

Our version of Jaycee is knitted in a size L, which gives it a slightly oversized look – perfect for those who want a relaxed yet stylish fit. We have chosen the beautiful and lightweight Linen Tweed yarn, which adds both texture and a natural, classic finish that highlights the elegant cut of the cardigan.
